Hi there! I'm Kacie:)

My inspiration behind Girls Club, first and foremost, came from a little (realisitically BIG voice in me) that started back in 2020. Simply put, I was longing for more. I LOVED teaching at a middle school level, but often lacked connections with kids on a spiritual level. When you’re in a public school setting the last thing I can say to a kid  when they are stressed, crying, or overwhelmed is, “I’ll pray for you. God’s got you.” Not only that, but I found myself entering into conversations with teen girls seeking advice and I just simply didn’t have the time to give it to them. Class was starting or ending and my next class came in, or I was supervising lunch and had to deal with the chaos in there, rather than enjoying conversation with a group of girls. I sadly just couldn’t meet the needs of my students on a more personal level.  In little ways, God slowly showed me my Christian girls–--the ones who would tell me the church they went to, or asked me about the cross I was wearing, etc. It was uplifting to know that Jesus really was present–I just had to find those girls:) Fast forward just one year, 2021, and I still felt a little voice inside about starting a girls ministry group. I bought books, dug deep into my faith, read articles, and did pretty much everything I could to make sure this is what God was calling me to do. Sure enough, everything I read gave me that definitive answer that this was what God has asked me to do. So now, fast forward even more, 2023 (and now beyond), and I’m doing it! There is no greater calling that I have ever felt in my life.  God knows I need this and I KNOW He is going to do amazing things with it and to the girls who feel led to be a part of it. I'm so exicted to be a mentor to these girls. To listen to the things they are going through and respond like Jesus would–--showing them and teaching them what that looks like. I wish at their age I had an opportunity like this to be involved in something with my friends. I whole-heartedly believe that it can change their whole perspective on life and in their relationships. I’m so excited to get started!
